Founder and Director of VishvaSys
Dr. Radhakant Padhi, Founder and Director, holds his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from VSSUT Burla (1994), Master of Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore (1996) and his Ph.D. from the Missouri Univ. of Science and Technology, Rolla, USA (2001). He is currently a full Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, and also an Associate Faculty at the Centre for Cyber-Physical Systems at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
Dr. Padhi’s research interest has been on the optimal and nonlinear control synthesis algorithms and their applications to challenging practical problems in aerospace, biomedical and mechanical engineering. Having successfully executed more than 30 research and industrial projects from government agencies (such as MHRD, ISRO, DRDO, ICMR), private companies (such as Team Indus, Honeywell, Ati Motors) and agencies from abroad such as AFRL (USA), ADD (South Korea), as well as reviewing several national aerospace missions of India over the past two decades, he has vast domain expertise in all areas of the company, namely Air Traffic Management, Spacecraft and Rockets, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), and Application of control techniques for health-care applications (especially on Artificial Pancreas development). It is worth mentioning that Dr. Padhi has contributed significantly to the revised soft-landing guidance algorithm of the highly successful Chandrayaan-3 mission of India.
